Ayo Fayose

Ekiti State Governor attacks Obasanjo for criticizing Jonathan

Obasanjo has accused Jonathan of performing below average, aiding corruption and destroying Nigeria’s democracy.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has criticized former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his recent verbal attacks on President Goodluck Jonathan.
However, Fayose, who spoke on Friday, November 28, at the Yoruba Progress Summit in Ile Ife, Osun State, said that Obasanjo is not in a position to accuse Jonathan as he himself was corrupt while in office
To buttress his point, Fayose said further that the former President had distributed large sums of money to some people in a bid to spend a third term in office.
“If you give your blood to Obasanjo, he will not support you. He doesn’t want anybody with independent mind. You (Jonathan) did not level Borno and Yobe the way he levelled Odi; for that, he will not like you. We know how he was when he came out of prison and how rich he was when he was leaving office,” Fayose said.
President Goodluck Jonathan is currently also at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife where the summit is holding.
