Jolly Tumuhiirwe has been sentenced to four years in jail for child abuse of a toddler that was left in her care.
The Ugandan maid, Jolly Tumuhiirwe, who was caught with a hidden
camera
violently assaulting a toddler, has been sentenced to four years in prison by a Kenyan Magistrate Court.
Jolly
Tumuhiire was caught last month violently assaulting a toddler who was
left in her care. The suspecting father of the baby installed a secret
camera which caught Jolly Tumuhiirwe force feeding the baby and
violently beating and kicking her afterwards.
Jolly Tumuhiirwe was arrested and charged to court with child abuse and torture. She last week pleaded
guilty and sought the forgiveness of the toddler’s parents in court and
the charge was later reduced to abuse to which she also pleaded guilty
to.
Chief Magistrate Lillian Buchan on Monday, December 15 sentenced her to four years in prison as she said that Tumuhiirwe had committed an "unjustifiable and inexcusable crime."
Jolly Tumuhiirwe was given a four-year sentence due to the "ruthlessness exhibited on an innocent and helpless child."
