Mario Balotelli

Liverpool Striker risks 5 match-ban if guilty of anti-semitic religious racism

The FA say they are investigating a post by Mario Balotelli which they think incites anti-semitic taunt and racism

Mario Balotelli will be probed by Police over an Instagram post which incites religious hatred toards the Jews
Balotelli deleted the post of Nintendo computer game character Super Mario before the press can reach it and stated that it was not offensive, just that it happened to be his unlucky moment. But some reports suggest something like a ''Jumps like a black man, grabs coins like a Jew.’’ post
"My Mom is Jewish so all of you shut up please," Balotelli wrote earlier on twitter before an apology on Tuesday morning

The FA, however, said that they will investigate the matter while Liverpool said they would talk to the 24 year-old Italy international.
"We are aware of the posting which has since been promptly deleted by the player.
"We will be speaking to the player about the issue."
An FA Executive who happens to be the current chief executive of the Jewish Leadership Council Simon Johnson insisted that Balotelli should face -  a 5 match ban if found guilty.
"We abhor all forms of racism, wherever it is found.
"We call upon the FA to investigate this offensive social media post and to take action if appropriate if we are to succeed in kicking racism out of football," FA Executive Simon Johnson said.
