Music super couple loses house bid to Swedish billionaire
The couple lost out on a deal for a $70 million mansion in Beverly Hills despite visiting the home six times.
It doesn't always go the way of American music royal couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z.
Even
when they had their eyes on the extravagant mansion in Beverly Hills
and were reportedly on the verge of closing a deal in early December, a
Swedish billionaire, Markus Persson, snagged the house from them.
According to
celebrity
website TMZ, Markus Persson beat the couple to close the deal on the $70 million mansion.
Bey and Jay were said to be the favourites to close the deal for the mansion after visiting the home six times for a tour.
TMZ reports that there were four offers on the mansion and real estate agent, Branden Williams, was
previously expected to close the $70 million deal with Bey and Jay by
Christmas. It is however unknown what lead to the turnaround with Markus
closing the deal swiftly in six days.
Markus is now the owner of the remarkable eight-bedroom home completely furnished with each of the 15 bathrooms equipped with Toto Neorest toilets at a price of $5,600 each.
Also
included in the sale was an 18-foot onyx dining room table for 24 with
place settings by Roberto Cavalli at a cost of $3,700 each.
The impressive residence sits on 23,000 square feet and includes an attached 16-car garage.
The home's backyard patio boasts panoramic views of Malibu and downtown LA.
